Outside of the smart ass response, this continues the narrative about how loose sark is with players and how peterman cares about improving players for life and the next level. It sounds like fluff and being cool was the in thing, and with peterman it's hard work and getting your shit done. Weird, hard work = results?

I'm really glad Mathis stuck it out and that the coaches were able to reach him. I still expect a substantially worse DL, but he's a key reason for having any optimism at all.
Meh. This is just classic confirmation bias. It's telling because we want it to be telling. But these exact comments are made by players every single time there's a regime change. Sometimes they're telling, sometimes they're not. Time will tell.
