Folsom vs Oceanside

The process Pete and all go through is probably something like this:
They hear about kids through channels (coaching scuttlebut, friends in HS, etc). They get multiple recommendations. They have an 'office boy' they trust sort through game film and find guys who have physical ability.
They either have cut-ups from the school or the office boy makes cut-ups. They make an assessment of physical ability through the cut-ups (which are supposed to be representative, not exhaustive).
After that, they make contacts with the kid and his coaches (and local coaches) to get a feel for how the kid is as a person.
Based on that they rank the kid vis a vis their needs and either offer a kid or they don't.
Some people like to see people in person, camps, spring practices to make evals as well. That all goes into it. But coaches aren't watching full game film of recruits, that never happens, they wouldn't have time for anything else. -

Can I get a report on their uniforms?Doogles said:
It's hard to say because it was such a one-sided beat down, but from what i could tell he's pretty underwhelming. He got beat on one on one coverage by some guy going to uc davis on a slant in the redzone. He made zero impact offensively, and the only kick off I saw him take he looked kinda slow. He appeared to have a bigger body, he looked the part, but the white kids from folsom played better.whatshouldicareabout said:How did Jordan Miller look, the CB commit from Oceanside?

I'm hearing Brpwning might not have the physical tools but does not lack when it comes to the intangibles. He's a heady player. Cerebral in fact. Lives on the film room. Great work ethic. Lunch pail type.

Spot on other than coaches do watch actual game film of the recruits. It takes about an hour. They have plenty of time to squeeze in a few games a week, especially in the off season.Dennis_DeYoung said:The process Pete and all go through is probably something like this:
