Eric Kendricks, lead country in tackles and is one of 5 butkus finalists, should have been first team over Shaq at LB.

    Fuck off

Except he doesn't lead the country in tackles, he's sixth. Tackles are a pretty meaningless stat too. Cort Dennison was 16th in the country three years ago, and he (rightly) didn't even sniff first or second team all conference. If you rack up a lot of tackles, chances are the rest of your defense sucks and you're just cleaning up the scraps.

If I remember right, David Rill led the Pac-10 for two or three years in a row in tackles in the mid 1980s, but that was because our teams weren't very good.

I don't know their individual stats off-hand but I'm surprised Cody Kessler's not 2nd team and Brett Hundley is.

I think that is fair. That said, UCLA had a pretty bad defense for having 7 guys on the 1st and 2nd team on defense.

I wouldn't say bad, inconsistent and generally mediocre. Many of their secondary guys don't belong on either list. Paul Perkins winning the rushing title and leading in ypc, yet not making either of the first two teams is actually the biggest whiff on this entire list.

Royce Freeman was the best running back in the conference this year. Giving it to older guys just because is shit. Imagine his stat line if Travis Wilson was his QB instead of the best player in college football?

You should pull Freeman's nuts out of your mouth.
