I missed tonight's game, but NWG and Upshaw have me contemplating if I want to get on the bandwagon. I originally planned to get on next year when Murray arrived.

Upshaw is kind of a beast, the type not seen on Montlake (did you know UW really isn't on Montlake?) since, well, I don't know since. Maybe Thalo Green?
He's a monster, but clearly he's still getting into game shape. His sloppy foul syndrome will get cleaned up as a byproduct of his improved conditioning. Once that works itself out, I fully expect to see him starting by the time pac-12 play arrives.
Don't forget Dorsey. He looks to be a great role player this year but eventually an all Pac kind of player.
Andrew Andrews is going to be the Justin Dentmon (exteremely inconsistent and frustrating) but he hit 2 huge 3s in the comeback last night that I didn't hear anyone talk about.
NWG could be a first team All Pac this year and if he stays he could be a P12 POY candidate.
Upshaw is the best Center they have had since Hawes and he does it differently (great defense and he actually tries to fucking dunk it when he is by the hoop).
I still think Darin Johnson will be pretty decent. He just needs to gain some confidence and learn appropriate times to shoot/attack. It comes slower for some players.
This team is going to have a lot of scorers next season if NWG stays. He will be able to get a shitload of assists.
Johnson not improving is disappointing. I thought he had potential early last season.
I hope Upshaw doesn't do too well this season because he will an early draft pick if he keeps this up. 4.4 blocks in 17 minutes per game is special. This team with Murray and a year older Dorsey could possibly win a Pac 12 championship. Unfortunately, that will never happen if NWG and/or Upshaw go pro.
I have never been an Andrews fan, but I agree with Cuntwaffle's Dentmon comparison. He's not afraid to take big shots and will be a solid 4 year player.

Whether he is ready or not i'm fairly certain he leaves. You don't be tempted enough to put your name in for a draft eval as a true frosh without having the confidence to jump after the sophomore campaign.
These kids pay attention, you're considered mediocre if you stay in the college game longer than 2 years. Just a reality, fair or not.

The time to win is now. The talent is there. Romar will completely fumble it, of course, but with a competent coach this is a S16 team provided everyone stays healthy.
Upshaw had a dunk last night that was awesome from where he got the pass. I was pretty shocked he was able to do it with the angle he had. He really is a player where if you get it to him by the hoop he is going to try and power up and throw it down. The kind that Kimmy told everyone Aziz would be.... Haha.
I think he is one of the most talented Centers in the country it is just going to be off the court and attitude things that will hold him back, like after he dunked it late in the Seattle U game and threw up the "L" on his head to the Seattle U student section. Players like that rarely cut that immature shit out.

We haven't really played anyone. We look better. It's tough to say if this team is actually good or just a better version of mediocre.

Also, gritty little comeback last night.
They might be limiting his time in the first half to make sure he isn't in foul trouble early in the second.

Wish Johnson could step up, this team could use the depth.
