"People have been saying all kinds of things about who I'm talking to about positions and this sports stuff, and they name names of people who I have no idea who they are. I've really learned that this whole athletic sphere and the usual way you approach things just doesn't work. It's just a crazed or irrational approach that the world and the media takes to athletics decisions.
Michigan football died when they fired Rich Rod Lloyd Carr a year too early, this is just the eulogy.
Rich Rod had the program going in the right direction. He just had to get his system implemented. Hoke only good season was with Rich Rod's players. The higher ups decided that sense Rich Rod wasn't a "Michigan man" then he should be ass.door.out. This is going to be the most important hire in school history. A Ty Willingham type hire, will bring the dagger to the 100 years of equity the program built. It will then be like any other shit program trying to claw from the ashes. This would be devastating since they are up north, and most athletes on the west coast or in the south are not going there unless you're Ohio State. Right now Michigan can get them, but with a damaged brand...........good luck.

Disagree. Firing Rich Rod was not the problem. There was too much bad energy around the program and he needed to go.

"Some folks wanted me to hire an athletic director (earlier) so he could fire the current football coach and hire the next coach, but I want to take the time to make sure we get someone who is not only technically adept
