Something I'd like to see addressed on your blog: You mention the journalistic responsibilities you have versus that of a regular blogger. I get that the two don't have much intersection. Are there plans to have a full-time blogger come aboard the Times? Caple rocks!

I've said it before, but I do consider myself a reporter first, blogger second. My thinking is: What is there to write/blog about if I haven't reported or researched properly? That's Journalism 101. That said, I'm very mindful of keeping the blog as fresh and active as possible, while still maintaining other top priorities such as breaking news and writing for the newspaper. All that combined, and with the great team of reporters and columnists and editors we have, I'm confident The Times is by far the best source for UW football.

Thanks for addressing that question head on. I really wasn't expecting a response. Times is a great source, but I think there's more demand for 'opinion' pieces than you have the bandwidth to supply. Hence all the (I just assume) comments at your Xbox skills.
