How quickly you guys forget that Jake walked across Lake Washington to get to practice.

I bet a lot of fans are glad this guy isn't a GM. What would he have done with these guys in their first couple of years...

    Eli Manning 48% 53% 57% 56%
    Peyton 56% 28 INT
    Brees 59% 31 INTs 1st 2 full seasons
    Flaco 57% in yr 4

The performances by RGIII and RW were very rare, and almost every QB in the history of the NFL would be considered a failure when compared to their rookie season.

Maybe give the guy more than 1 full season before Nostradumbass considers it a complete failure.

How's Lockner doing for you on Madden 2014?
I bet you are one of these young Husky fans that talk about how great Sonny was @ QB. Even with those numbers and record, he is a Husky Legend after all.

The hate for Jake cracks me up.
It's not hate to point out how mediocre Jake Locker was as a college quarterback. The facts and the stats speak for themselves.
Please take off you Sonny jersey before you post.

    He IS a Husky Legend.
Dude was 15-25 as a starting QB in his Husky career. If that makes him a legend, that means the football program is more fucked than any of us feared.

I noticed you don't bother to reference any of his stats...I can't imagine why.
My God, does anyone on here know anything about Husky football? Go get a coffee and browse through the Husky record book.

You might see Jake's name once or twice.

So he played for 2 of the worst coaches in Husky history, but the record is put at his doorstep?

Sorry, you can't have it both ways.
Jake's in the record books because he started 40 games. He accumulated numbers by playing a lot, not by playing well.

Here are the career leaders by passer rating for Husky QBs (source, minimum 100 pass attempts):

Price - 138.9 (BENCH HIS BLACK ASS!!!!)
    Moon - 134.9
    Flick - 133.7
    Hobert - 132.4
    B. Huard - 131.3
    D. Huard - 129.9
    Pickett - 125.0
    Cowan - 123.3
    Stanback - 122.9
    Tuiasosopo - 121.7
    Locker - 119.0

Thanks for proving once again that Doogs hate stats and facts. The myth that Jake Locker was a legendary Husky is sickening. He was a white Stanback, at best (hi Golve!).

Those four quarterbacks actually demonstrated they could play quarterback competently in college.

When did Lockner demonstrate that? Price in 2011 was better than Lockner ever was, and douchebags like you can't run Price out of the program fast enough.
Shit Price 2012 was better than any Lockner season.

Not true. Lockner's last two years were slightly better than Price 2012.

Price in 2011 was amazing, especially just three years after 0-12.

Thanks for cherry picking 1 stat.

    QB Career rushing yards:

    1. Locker - 1,939
    2. Tui - 1,495
    3. Fitz - 854
    4. Stanback 794

    Rushing TDs (season):

#6 @ 13 tied with McElhenny and ahead of CP

    Rushing TDs (career):

#3 all time in Husky history @ 29

    Passing yards (career):

    #2 all time @ 7,639

    Passing yards /game:

#4 @ 191/gm (ahead of Price, Moon, Tui, Billy Jo, Tui)

    Completions /game (career):

    #2 @ 15.5

    Int % (career):

#4 @ .0305 (ahead of Tui, Brock, Moon and Billy Jo)

    Longest pass play:

    #1, #6 & #9

    Most 50+ passes:

    tied @ #2

And I could go on and on. If you bring up the # of games argument, then I get to use the head coach and surrounding offensive talent (no ASJ or Kasen, etc)

And that site better check their stats. Moon best season was at 133.1.

    His career stats:

    3465 yds .489 % 20 TDs 19 INTs (pretty sure that doesn't get you to 134.9)

Maybe they were including his Eskimo stats ;)

    Moon's actual rating = 110.65

Another Husky legend that has been distorted. He made a name for himself with a great performance in the Rose Bowl when they upset Michigan.

Remember that team actually had 4 losses on the field.

Passer rating is the equivalent of an efficiency rating in basketball. It's not just 1 stat. You might want to wiki passer rating. It factors completions, yards, touchdowns, INT, and attempts. Locker may carry solid bulk numbers, but fact is, he wasn't efficient.

Anyone who is truly attempting to argue that Jake was an above average quarterback is too dense to argue with.
