Were you at the game? Electric day and Tui was hurt in that game. The stadium was out of its mind, the winds were howling and Tyrone was very unhappy after the game.

How do you hire a coach 5 years after he allowed the only 300 & 200 game which happen to be against us?!!

That's what I always think when I see Tui running up and down on Stanford.

I always think of Troy Walters burning yet another shitty fucking UW d and almost blowing Tui's epic performance.

I was at the UA "Roses" game as well (following week?)....fuck

Once I heard we were celebrating with roses in the post game after that UA game I knew we were going to lose to UCLA. UCLA has always been a thorn in our side throughout history especially at UCLA.

That UCLA game was brutal. Remember AK 47's face on the front cover of the sports page?

Ever since I was personally able to experience how shitty Willingham's defenses were, Tui's 200/300 game in 1999 and the 81 yards in 3 plays to win the game in 2000 are less impressive to me. Sad, but true.

Had to be a "nega" here but year during Ty's tenure I was thinking no wonder Tui did that against them.

Ty was 0-5 against the Huskies at Stanford. Why I was so pissed when we hired him not to mention he was just recently fired.

Man, I tell you what. That 3 play drive was one of the most emotional days I have ever experienced. I was working on the broadcast for komo in Seattle, and we were talking to Rondeau and Nelson during the breaks and we thought Curtis had died on the field. It was something that was being communicated that is was a possibility. Everyone was shaken, and really couldn't grasp what was happening. Some players were hysterical and we were getting all this through the feed.
Rondeau called those plays with perfection. I put together a highlight reel for Fox Sports Northwest at the and put Rondeau's voice to the highlights. If you were a husky fan it brought chills. That pass in the corner to Justin Robbins was perfectly placed by Tui, and he just went to the ground and pointed to the sky. I believe the 2nd pass went to Elstrom and was almost picked off if I remember right.

To me it was one of the most impressive drives I have ever seen under the circumstances, the rain was so heavy most fans left the game. The people I knew down there left in the third quarter. It was absolutely miserable conditions.

That next week, of practice guys were shell shocked and slick rick was tremendous that week. I went to UW the same time as Curtis and I remember seeing him walking on campus. He was a solid guy and seeing him at the Rose Bowl in a wheel chair was just surreal.
Williams came out Bullard in Fresno CA, and he didn't have the smoothest ride. To see his smile on his face and watching his first interview for television after his injury will be something I will never forget. I can still see it clearly in my mind 12 years later.
It's partly why I am so sensitive to having the number taken off the field.

Disagree. I think he just needed more bullets.
