    A few things to consider:

    1. We all love football.
    2. NOGAF which other sports you like or dislike
    3. You can't fully appreciate watching any sport without having played it. The higher the level you played at, the more you are able to appreciate the small things that the casual observer will miss.
    4. I like football, hockey and football.
    5. Baseball needs a shot clock sort of deal if you want to have any chance of America ever giving a shit again.

    That is so douchie.
    It's absolutely true, though.
You think coaching is easy, why don't you go out there and call plays! #hibaird
    Huh?

    Not the case.

Disagree. Explain why or shut the fuck up.

I here this argument all the time, not just from the deliquents here. I completely get why people say it.

Baseball is boring to people that dont understand baseball. What most think is 40 waisted seconds in between each pitch, actually is filled with all kinds of things going on.

The act of hitting a baseball is hard. Humiliatingly hard. In the pussified society we know live in, nobody wants to deal with that kind of negativity. Baseballs popularity has plummeted while soccer has soared for this very reason. If youre an 11 year old soft cock what would you rather do? Stand in front of god and everybody and strike out, OR run around a grass area, hide from the ball, slide on the ground so you got a grass stain so gramma thinks you did great, and then have a slice of orange?

You fuckers are going to have to total up the fines in just accrued in that rant.

    Fuck off.

There are parts of this poast that deserve an awesome, and other parts that deserve a WTF, so I'm going to just leave it be. I love baseball, but the pace of the game has gotten ridiculous. Batters need to stop fucking around with their batting gloves after every pitch, and pitchers don't need to take a long walk around the mound to gain perspective before they make every pitch. Baseball games that don't go to extras shouldn't be 4 1/2 hours long. That's fucking ridiculous, and it's detrimental to the sport.
sound like you need to take a long walk around the mound and gain some perspective.

Great points. I coach spring and fall leagues. Speeding up the game is a big emphasis for me. The kids imitate that shit because the see it on tv. I don't tolerate any of it. We play 7 inning games but with similar numbers of pitches thrown to mlb games and way more runs on average. We still keep all games under 3 hours and most under 2:30. The pace of mlb games is sickening.

They absolutely need to implement rules to help speed up the game. Once the play ends the runner has 20 seconds to LEAVE! The field and the next batter to step in. The batter cannot leave the box in between pitches. And the holding on of runners gets ridiculous as well.
That said I like the sport

Quality post for the most part. I disagree on the time between pitches though. It needs to be shortened
