Thoughts on Pettis? Looks like he lacks top end speed but I was pretty impressed overall. He picks his lanes well and runs fucking hard ($75k). Am excited to see how he develops.

Also, on Predator's scoop-n-score TD Timu gets uncredited hero points. There was an Illini player was a clear path to the ball and Timu completely blew him up and freed up Shaq to grab it. Not sure if that was by design or instinct, but it was awesome and warrants mentioning.

People knock Miles' arm and he did have some lame duckish throws, but his TD bomb to Ross was a good 45+ yards in the air was it not?

Shelton is such a beast. If he isn't getting a sack he is always pushing the OL back (usually while being double teamed). He also made it out and got in on some WR screens. Which is amazing. He will be missed dearly after this year. Credit to Lupoi and the old staff for convincing him to stay home.

The doog in me hopes Kawasaki is using the scrimmages as a beta run for the secondary, but the negadawg in me think he should pour gasoline on himself and set himself alight in Red Square. Some of the breakdowns are inexcusable.

Or something.

Shelton had a great homecoming in front of family and friends Aug. 30th

HIGH SCHOOL: Named 4A first-team all-state, as both an offensive and defensive lineman, by the Associated Press in 2010 ... also first-team all-state as a junior (offensive line) ... made the Seattle Times all-state team as both a junior and a senior ... twice named both the South Puget Sound League 4A North's Offensive Lineman of the Year and Defensive Lineman of the Year ... played in the Offense-Defense Bowl following senior season ... helped lead Trojans to a 9-3 overall record and a 7-1 mark in the South Puget Sound League North in 2010 ... advanced to the state quarterfinals ... along with earning the SPSL's Offensive and Defensive Lineman of the Year as a junior, was also (naturally) first-team all-league at both spots that year as well ... led Auburn to state quarterfinals as a junior in 2009 ... first-team All-SPSL on both lines as a sophomore as well ... a PrepStar All-American ... ranked the No. 32 defensive tackle in the country by scout.com ... rated the No. 120 overall prospect and the No. 10 defensive tackle in the nation by rivals.com ... rival's No. 3 recruit in the state of Washington ... nation's No. 43 DT recruit, according to ESPN.com ... Long Beach Press-Telegram's "Best in the West" honorable mention ... named to the Tacoma News-Tribune's "Western 100" list of top recruits in the West ... one of five seniors from the state named a "blue-chip prospect" by the Seattle Times ... one of just eight players from the Pacific Northwest named a "Northwest Nugget" by the Tacoma News-Tribune ... also participated in track & field as a thrower and was a standout wrestler at Auburn ... as a senior in 2011, won the state 4A shotput championship with a throw of 60-feet, 1-inch ... played football for coach Gordon Elliot.

My grandparents always told of the Zeroes racing over Bainbridge Island that fateful December morning.
    I LOL'ed. IRL.

@Swaye‌, I regret to inform you that you have been whooshed by the Shelton/Hawaii comment. @purpledoogfan‌ was referring to RuthFS who asked Shelton during an interview if he was excited to be back in Hawaii. Danny responded that he had never been to the islands!

"You're gonna listen to me? To something I said? Jesus, man, haven't I made it abundantly clear during the tenure of our friendship that I don't know shit? I mean, half the time I'm just talking out of my ass, or sticking my hand in it."

Or did you whoosh me by posting Shelton's HS accomplishments? I'm so confused. I don't know who's getting whooshed, etc.

I am probably the most easily whooshed on this bored. Goes back several years to HHB V 1.0 and later The Pit, where Sven got me to click his lemon drops about 81 times.

I have poor long term memory from years of being around ordinance which probably had some brain eating carcinogens inside, mild PTSD from years of dropping those same bombs on terrorists in Iraq, and even more issues from my drug and alcohol problems related to the previously mentioned killing of many humans, and the fact that I am 1/4 Injun and thus love the booze. Also, I sometimes space out in my garage and just let my Harley run while I inhale the fumes. This doesn't help.

So, I rely on Sven (Minister of Info) and DNC (photographic memory of all things funny for the last decade) to keep me on the straight and narrow wrt HHBisms. In short, I forgot all about Roof, but remembered that I liked her ass after you mentioned her.
