Illinois' only prayer in that game was to continue attacking Jones over and over. I'm glad Petersen let him stay in there, if he thinks that's the guy going forward. He has now faced a really good qb and an okay qb, each having different styles. Good utilization of the scrimmage.
Last week, a few of us here on HH talked about how a good coaching point would be that the coaches could put on the film and show that between stupid penalties and dropped interceptions, the failure to execute and play smart cost them 21 points. Some people fucktardly took those kind of comments and tried to apply that to the Illinois' HC comments ...
There's a difference between delusional (which is what happens when a coach whose team had minimal plays that they could have made to alter the course of the game and was down at one point 35-3) and talking about teaching points ... some people really should think about shit and learn the difference.
