woopty doo. Yale is also in the top 10 all time.

Michigan cares about all sports - they will rebound quickly. Scandals be damned, the Sports Media demands that Michigan be there.
and they have the $$$$$ to do it. Hire Fish and then get rid of him 2 years later for name brand coach

I agree, the question is, in the current landscape I’m guessing Michigan is a 2nd tier program like UW and Penn State… And are Penn State or Michigan really a better opportunity NOW than UW?
In this case, the Dawgs do have advantages that the wolves don’t have… because of the demise of the PAC12, IMO its easier now to recruit A higher percentage of the better athletes on the west coast with less competition (its Oregon, USC and UW with 3 completely different environments to chose from) and unlike Michigan, we dont play OSU every year and dont directly compete with 3 schools like OSU, Notre Dame and Penn State in such a Small Proximity directly overlapping footprint.
Given the shitshow at Michigan now with an AD that is probably history and the current trajectory personally I would pick UW and get a good sized raise while I was at it.

Michigan is in a better situation than uw. They have more money to pay players. Other than harbaugh they have had bad hires. A good hire and they are in the top 10 every year.

The current landscape must also take into account that UW is on a half share with Oregon, the only two squads who are. UCLA and USC get daddy fat sax. Oregon has their own. UW is the only team in the conference playing from behind the 8-ball. We're still putting some English on it, eh Dawg fans?

I think i agree with Coog, Michigan for so many years was a distant second best to OSU most years and now they have Penn State, USC, Oregon and Washington and that oddball team from the rest of the conference that has a great year every 20 years to contend with. I think that the future is not the same as the past and Michigan is no longer {if they ever were for the last 25+ years} a locked in title contender.
Your point about the money appears to be true, will that be enough?

UW is also borrowing against future B1G money to mitigate the current gap. Meaning the smaller gap will last longer

No, son. Not right now. Not.Even.Close
