Nobody get banned here unless they start threatening Derek in PMs. He has way more leniency than me on outright lying.
Like you did your first go around.

I didn't watch the video, but I wouldn't trust the Australian government. Too much of western Europe is jailed for mean tweets and memes.

Tell me you aren't able to understand that tweets, tiktoks, snaps, etc can't also be accessed and are often shared on various reddit forums. That those forums, 138,000 per google AI estimate, are just as time consuming and allow access to various information, pictures, videos, etc. that the aforementioned Australian bill seeks to limit.
And to answer your question, I was hoping Reddit would touch my hog but it settled for a handshake, and telling me we should just be friends.

All were invited to share thoughts on the topic.
You chose lobbing an insult instead of providing yours or any reasonable rebuttal.

It's what I like to do.

100% this.

Even a fool, who remains silent, is considered wise

In theory, I agree with banning social media for kids. I don't know how you go about really blocking it though. We got beer and cigarettes at 14.
It just seems like a trojan horse. Australians used to seem tough to me. Maybe it was those Crocodile movies. Now they seem like woke sissies.

This ^^^^ is where I was when I started the thread. I ve read many good points and after the last 4-8 years, I can see this as yet another attempt to chip away at liberty in the name of "safety". It's not going to stop there.
It's the parents job to babysit and monitor their children! Period!
Bad parents should be liable for their bad children up until the point they turn 16- 18 or until they file for an incorrigible minor child but even then it's not a state/ federal responsibility and taxpayers should not foot the bill this is where accountability kicks in!
I think the general consensus is social media is not the place for children to spend all their spare time.
I always wanted to move down under but the Australians gave up their guns. Once that happened, slowly everything went to woke crap and the government tyranny ramped up. (See Convid era)
The good people of Australia are now subject to whatever the latest crisis their government wants to take advantage of.
At some point, government, has taken the stance that our children are their children. " It takes a village".
I don't like it.. I understand the surface arguments but after watching first hard the changes in this country and the freedoms lost in my life time....I can see, sadly where this is going. Hagalean dialectic is the favorite tool of government overreach
The younger generations have no idea or concept of what freedom used to mean or what you have lost by government usurpation. The blatant lies and the mis/disinformation fed to the public is just astounding! ..... But I digress ☹️
