Washington expects to play Boise State in the 2025 LA Bowl, a source with direct knowledge of the situation confirmed Saturday to The Seattle Times.

The game is scheduled to kick off at 5 p.m. Dec. 13 at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles. The matchup was first reported by On3’s Brett McMurphy.

The Huskies (8-4) earned their fourth consecutive bowl berth Oct. 25. Coach Jedd Fisch, who led a depleted UW team to a Sun Bowl berth in 2024, will attempt to win the first bowl game of his Husky tenure against the Broncos (9-4).

Boise State earned its berth after defeating UNLV 38-21 on Friday in the Mountain West championship game. The Broncos went 6-2 in conference play this season. Boise State suffered a 30-7 defeat against Fresno State and a 17-7 loss against San Diego State in the Mountain West. It also lost against South Florida, 34-7, during its season-opening game and fell to No. 10 Notre Dame, 28-7.

The LA Bowl, which traditionally ties a former Pac-12 legacy team against the Mountain West champion, was most recently won by a ranked UNLV team after it beat California 24-13 on Dec. 18, 2024. Mountain West schools are currently 3-1 in the LA Bowl, which has been played four times since its inaugural game in 2021.
