At no point during BOLTON's time as the National Security Advisor or afterwards,including when his home SCIF was decommissioned in or about September 2019, did BOLTONtell the U.S. Government personnel that he had sent national defense and classified information toIndividuals 1 and 2 over commercial email and messaging services or that such information wasstored on personal electronic devices and in personal electronic accounts belonging to or accessibleby himself and/or Individuals 1 and 2.14. At some point between when BOLTON left government service in September 2019and July 2021, a cyber actor believed to be associated with the Islamic Republic of Iran hackedBOLTON's personal email account and gained unauthorized access to the classified and nationaldefense information in that account, which BOLTON had previously emailed to Individuals 1 and2 while he was the National Security Advisor. A representative for BOLTON notified the U.S.Government of the hack in or about July 2021, but did not tell the U.S. Government that the accountcontained national defense information, including classified information, that BOLTON had placedin the account from his time as National Security Advisor. Nor did BOLTON's representative tellthe U.S. Government that BOLTON had shared some of that national defense information,including classified information, with Individuals 1 and 2 via personal email and a nongovernmental messaging application.Classified In

I completely understand why you gals are celebrating the indictment of a Republican who turned on Daddy. It is the one case of prosecuting Daddy's political enemies that could conceivably result in a conviction. You know, a felony conviction—the thing Daddy has 34 of. I notice all these hours later not one of you will even pretend that Hegseth's (drunken chat) conduct was any different than what Bolton is accused of.

The indictment says he possessed and shared things that are beyond and more sensitive than the stuff which was vetted for publication of his book.
It also says he shared information with two people who were not authorized to receive it—and not in a drunken and unsecured group chat, which as we all know is totally fine.
The government will have to prove its case.

But more to the point, I heard an awful lot of TugCon bleating about the supposed “unequal application of the laws” on this forum. Hegseth not only isn’t being prosecuted, he still has his fucking job! Suddenly the loudest poasters on this topic have lost their voices.
I don’t give a shit about Bolton. He’s just another Republican who is willing to speak up after the damage is already done as far as I’m concerned. Like Mitch McConnell.
