What if Jimmy gives McGrew (and Pleasant) carries against Montana instead of Dick Newton? I remember being at that game and watching McGrew pace the sidelines endlessly as he wasn't put in and Newton ran into the back of linemen for 1-2 yard gains. What a terrible coach. One of the top times I've felt sorry for a college athlete.

Marcel Reece was an all-pro and never did shit at UW. Could have been a great BIG BACK for us.

Had a shocking long NFL career. I remember him as a guy who couldn't do anything unless he got a clear lane, but then he was gone. He must have figured things out at the next level.

Doog legend Dick Newton was the master of appearing to run furiously without actually going anywhere, breaking or avoiding any tackles.

Greatest of all-time at making a two-yard run look like it was more. I will say though that I think Deboer and Grubb should have maybe used him in short yardage situations when he was on the roster. He did seem decent at forcing 1-2 yards when there was zero there, but absolutely nothing else.

There are so many guys like this. Miami has a ton of them. I almost root against them once I've concluded they were mailing it in in college. Paycheck players.

Honestly didn't do enough on the field for me to really assess. Guys who never really even got a shot are a bit different - like the great Sama Paama.

The fact that Gilbyham didn’t make an exception considering he had just finished hooping is pain stupid. Obviously had he not played for romar the move is 100% understandable. More likely I forget this completely knowing it was probably in the ST or doogman.

the doog legend you guys always say makes me laugh!!! Dick Newton today and Kirk F yesterday 😂
