He might still be in the League

Fantastic list, but where art thou Chris Hemphill????

I'm going to toss John Ross out there. Which is weird to do to a top 10 draft pick, and he was absolutely maximized as a WR at UW. But his NFL career makes me wonder whether he should have stayed at CB. Two NFL corners on the 2016 roster plus Budda so would have been challenging to rotate all of them, plus that team was weaker at LB once Azeem was injured. Would have hurt the 2016 team but helped JR long term.
Also looking at that old roster- Milo Eifler did nothing at UW and transferred, but somehow played in the league. What did we miss on him?

I remember Goldson playing a lot he was just on shitty forgettable teams I think.
Joey Thomas was a double play because I think Neu used him to help sign Paul Arnold, ran him off, he ended up being good, and then he used to be a key figure in local high school football and he had a vendetta against UW and shit on them to local recruits.

Harald Hasselbach, who I think died a few years ago, never did anything at UW during the Don James years. But he ended up with a long career with the Broncos and won a Super Bowl.

Was watching highlights a while back from 2016 games while tread milling and Making America Healthy Again and how good Mathis was in those Stanford and Oregon games jumped out. Plus Azeem. Losing both those guys was tragic, especially Azeem in the middle of the USC game. Forgot is was really sweet the wefs allowed some junk USC TE to push off horribly on key plays too and not call it.

I'm pretty sure I remember the Gilby/Nate thing in either Doogman or Seattle Times. Nate had been worn out from basketball so he didn't think he had the energy to play football and didn't show up for spring. Then he had a change of heart, but Gilby said nope, wasn't fair to the other players. I kind of get that but fuck man you have to find a way to make that work when you have one of the best athletes in the world offering to play. If it's still out there, Nate's highlight reel for Beach is borderline Reggie Bush level. They would need to find a way to get him on offense.
-
A good compromise for Gilby would have been benching Nate for the first couple games.
-
I'd say just do some shit like he starts at the bottom of the depth chart etc.
I remember we went to the 2002 game at ASU and Nate danced the entire time they did warmups and didn't run a single drill so maybe there were some issues.

Think a guy like Marcel Reece fits here? I barely remember him playing at UW aside from the 98 yard reception, and he ended up with a long productive career with 3 pro bowls in the NFL
