After seeing the vast improvement between week 1 and week 2 in the Husky defense, I have complete confidence Petermen will fall flat on his face when the Huskies play real competition.
I fully expect plunger rapings against Stanfurd, Oregon, and any other team that is remotely competitive
in the gamethread, people are blaming the assistants. Didn't we learn from Sark, the assistants don't matter - everything falls with the head coach? Peterman needs to fix this shit.

I think assistants do matter to an extent. UW's defense got better with Wilcox than it was with Holt.
A rational fan will give Peterman a little time. The inexperience at the skill positions both in the offensive and defensive backfields were problems I identified going into the season, as well as Sark's inability to recruit OL.
None of that excuses a loss to an FCS team, even a very good one, unless you are Iowa State.
I agree that it all starts with the HC, but in game 2, I think it is fair to say that Peterman needs to fire Cuntowski now, or take over his duties. He clearly has no idea what the fuck he is doing.
Wilcox didn't have a BaylorFS performance, but was always good for giving up 40-50 points 3 times a year. Most importantly, the final record usually maxed out at 7 wins.
At 94-12, he still gets time, but I have a bad feeling he was just loyal to guys and wanted a whole new staff. Neither of those things are neccesarily bad...if the assts are good.
As for Oregon, their four loss seasons are coming. I was convinced of that after the Stanford and Arizona games.
