Comparing numbers to 2009 is like comparing Sark to Ty.

60% of the people working is not good news. The Obama administration wouldn't have changed the way unemployment is counted if the numbers didn't suck so bad.

We're in recovery summer 5 now and the recovery is almost a phantom of the imagination of the 30% that still think Obama has a clue.

Matching the lowest rate since the 70's is horrible news no matter how you spin it. Now we need a Reagan to come along and clean things up.

2009 comparisons are valid because that was the end of the recession, no?

And what 60% are you talking about? The 62.8% participation rate? The participation rate has been in the 60s forever even during King Ronald the Great's reign.

What part of lowest since the 70's did you miss?

    What end of the recession?

Maybe we can fix this by electing another Bush to start another war.

Who has claimed that being a temp is a bad thing? Many people choose it, especially in tech. Consulting often pays much better than being a permanent employee of some random fortune 1000 company or startup.

But if a pizza delivery driver wants a better job, let him improve his skillset. This isn't the government's responsibility.

For a guy that claims people should take responsibility for their own actions, you sure do change your tune if you can spin it into something to blame Obama for.

If those that want to work, can't find work that fit's their skillset, then they should improve their skillset.

There are a lot of jobs out there for qualified people.

You need a link to the help wanted sites?

As to blaming Bush or Obama, I just find it ironic that all of you morons were looking the other way when Bush was fucking up the economy with his 5 Trillion dollar wars... and now that the economy isn't recovering as fast as you want... it is all Obama's fault.

Obama's had what, 6 1/2 years to do something, anything to fix it? He hasn't done shit. In fact he's made things much worse with his imbecilic health care changes, while completely ignoring facts like gas staying at FUCKING $4 A GALLON.

The wars, one which Obama is still fighting and supported do not cost anywhere near 5 trillion

Obama has rang up 7 trillion in debt and you're still talking about Bush

    Thanks for proving my point

Bilmes said the United States has spent almost $2 trillion already for the military campaigns in Afghanistan and Iraq.

    lol

2 trillion including 5 years of Obama in Afghanistan and us out of Iraq = Bush spending 5 trillion

But how are you a bad poster?

Using the tech industry to comment on jobs and the economy is fucking stupid. Even idiot programmers that should only be looking at stack traces have decent companies trying to suck them off.

Also it's funny that it's not the government's responsibility to improve people's skillsets but it's their job to provide healthcare to their fat irresponsible asses.

Nice job trying to split hairs to twist out of your failure. I didn't say Bush spent 5 Trillion I said they were his 5 Trillion dollar wars. Do you comprehend the difference? Do you understand inertia?

Did you still need that link to a job site?

What industry do you want to use? There is a shortage of healthcare workers, there is a shortage of welders, and there is a shortage of truck drivers.

What skillset do you have for which you can't find work?

I'm not the guy crying that he can't find work... that seems to be you.

Everybody agrees that the economy -- that has been bad for guys like you -- got that way because of Bush... and you are crying that Obama hasn't fixed it yet.

If it is so easy to fix what Bush fucked up -- then why didn't Bush just fix it before he left office?

I already told you. Ozone is a duck fan. I'm a husky.

The only time I root for the ducks is when they are playing the LA schools.

    Stop trying to deflect.

You are a guy that likes to preach self reliance and taking responsibility for one's own state in life.

Why is it the president's fault that guys like you and OBK and the other 40% can't find work that suits your skillset?
