NBA would be smarter to put a team in Mexico City.
Maybe it benefits the nba but I think it will hurt the actual franchise value short term until they ultimately move like Vancouver did. Doubtful they could attract free agents and when the novelty wears off after year 1 or 2 they could struggle with attendance and merchandise sales. Highly doubtful rich nba players would want to live there half the year.
Seattle and Las Vegas are next and it’s taking 20 years plus to get a team back in Seattle. Who knows what the world looks like in 2050 unless Mexico becomes our 52nd state ha (joking;)
