Obviously a genius idea that will be become a yearly staple here. Reminds me of the late 2000's/early 2010's when the NHL was without a doubt the best sport in the world for the 25-55 male crowd that ESPN hates so much. Then the NHL decided to ruin their league with a horrible divisional format, and more 🏳️🌈teams like the Vegas "Golden Knights" (who they tilted the game in favor of to grow that market) and the Seattle Kraken who should be seen as a precursor to what it's going to look like after the Sonics come back and immediately start sucking.
For the US, not having the guy that ran through the Stanley Cup Playoff last year and who routinely beats the living fuck out of all the little soft "offensive defensemen" Canadian players hurt too much. Could not get enough consistent pressure and the forecheck was much worse without him.
