You can have everything in Cali north of I-80 + a 50 mile buffer. That will snag you Redding, Eureka, Chico, Susanville, Alturas, and Weed. If it's worth your while, what's your trade?
The fallacy is that we already do have a tax structure that is very progressive and taxes the "rich". The top 1% pay about 25% of federal income taxes collected. The top 50% pay almost a 100% of the federal income taxes collected. The bottom 50% pay almost none. If you have a $5 million dollar home you pay a lot more property tax than someone living in a $250,000 condo. Same with sales taxes.
The same economic morons that are claiming that tariffs will impact the cost of living for consumers (true) but then think that corporations don't try to passthrough corporate income taxes to the consumer. We don't have a tax problem. We have a spending problem and yet Tug leftards are going insane over Trump and Doge rooting out fraud and waste. You think we are getting any ROI on education "investment"? The Department of Wasteful Energy? The CDC? Geezus.
Too gutless to say (publicly) where the real money could be found. It's in the entitlements some here already receive. Which of you are going to give yours up?
We have a massive budget deficit because nothing is being properly analyzed. Just increasing taxes to fill that gap isn’t going to negate the inefficiency of government spending. There’s more than a solid argument that many areas of government bring down the ROI on other areas of government that maybe do have a good/OK return just by existing. Like the military spending time on DEI.
The Team Dazzler entitlement fix is to admit tens of millions of illegal aliens from third world shitholes that don't speak English and are uneducated, put them on welfare and then pretend they are going to save the economy. So pretending that people like me who paid in the max for decades are somehow sucking off the system is just more leftard economics.
See? Gasbag isn't giving anything up. It's never changed in all the years here or before at the Woodshed.
I say you want tax cuts but that you're not serious about cutting spending and you girls promptly point out that you're perfectly willing to eliminate some tiny fraction of the budget that you don't think benefits you.
You'll be squealing like a stuck pig if you suffer a dime's worth of loss in any of this.
Meanwhile, you're about to learn that while Presidents can't do a ton to influence economic events positively, they can fuck things up royally. A subservient Congress isn't much of a check on that.

Northern Kali wants to be part of Greater Idaho too.
You mean move to a state that had a budget surplus like Jay Inslee ?
Let me try this again….if they love Idaho, why don’t they just move there?
What happens if Idaho goes blue one day. Are they gonna want to come back? I hate to say this…but these guys are being entitled/woke
Come back with your Transtifa crew again and you'll see how tolerant we are.
Who in this thread voted against Trump and his plan to eliminate income tax on tips and social security income?
Who would be directly benefited by the elimination of those taxes? The rich?
.
Guess which one is Fern!

Ern do you disagree with me on what is good economic tax policy?
Only conservitive republicans can come. You keep your kind.

Did you get sad that I didn't respond?
Did you get sad that I didn't respond?
That’s a snarky way of saying you’re out of your depth when actually discussing policy.
Young, dumb, and full of your partner’s cum while on the last hours of a 4-day meth binge looks good on nobody, Ern.

There is massive fraud in entitlements
The guy I voted for is fixing it
More money for me

We're serious about cutting spending and waste
Your team is protesting both
