I wouldn't count on that. It seems like guys who get a 6th year are those that typically miss more than 1 year due to injury.

Tanigawa had season ending knee injuries in 2011 and 2012.

The 2012 one qualifies under the NCAA hardship waiver (medical redshirt).

    Guess we'll find out.

Under great coaches (and I believe CP is a great coach) and as Don James said, teams improve the most between Week 1 and Week 2. Now CP and staff get back their #1 QB and they have another week to work with a young secondary. I wish KW was 100%, that we were better at RG, and that Riva was back at RT but at least we didn't have any sloppy turnovers or special teams melt-downs. We also had 4 sacks on D and Lavon Coleman seems to be a revelation.

Fuck its one game. Peter and this team will be fine.

Saban, Holtz, Stoops, and even douchebags like Chimp and Petrino turned pretty average programs into big winners fast ( Oregon won 10 games or something the year before but they had some 5-8 win years from 2002-2007). The talent is there. its not top five SEC SEC SEC talent, but it is top 20. There's always going to be some attrition, but there would be attrition regardless. He gets paid three and a half million dollars to change the culture and be effective relatively fast. The coaches mentioned all did it pretty fast.

He doesn't need to go at 12 and one and make the playoffs by next yr., but if they're 9-5 with a relatively easy schedule, then 7-6 again, then 8-5, that's just treading water. Luckily I see him doing better than that. There's not a magic winning percentage, or goal or bowl, other than the Rose Bowl IMO. It's improvement, beating Oregon, doing better than 5-4 yearly, taking back the Pacific Northwest which is rightfully UW'S and being in the top three or four in the conference on a consistent basis, & Yes Rose Bowl relatively quickly... been way too long....

That was true until your administration gave Ty his 4th year. Until you signed Petersen, from Ty's 4th year on, your city deserved the Bills, well........the twelves still do, but you get my point.
