during UW's short lived return to glory years 11.12.2022 - 1.8.2024 it was perfectly acceptable to unmercifully abuse and harass any Duck fan who posted here simply for posting about the Ducks.
Now that UW has returned to normal shitshow status, it's time to shut the board down.

The board isn't being shut down over 49-21.
The board is being shut down by the site owner because it became a tedious Hatfield and McCoys blood feud between a small group of posters on both sides.

Maybe it should have been nuked last year, but Derek had high hopes for this sub board.
Look, I know @AtomicPiss as well as almost any guy here. Derek is as staunch a defender of free speech as there is.
But when the blood feud turns into tedious, shark jumping, spam, the man will run out of patience.
You did abuse him. Of course you'll never admit. Primarily because you're dumb as dogshit, but yes. DJ was an old man who wanted nothing more than to do with Derek claimed he hoped this board would be. For his trouble he was mocked and harassed and abused all without a peep from Derek.
I don’t think turbo trolling falls under free speech to be fair. Sort of a false equivalency. Others have been banned from this site.
That said it’s his site and he doesn’t owe any of us anything. It was a decent ride, for a while.

Certainly, some degree of trolling is protected speech under the Hardcore Husky Bill of Rights.
But I would suspect there is a limit to the volume. And the judge of that ultimately is the site owner.

I wasn't even around here all that much during DJ's time, but he was a sanctimonious tool. No tears from me.
People were urging me to do it last year. But I wanted to hang on and see if it could improve without me taking an iron fisted moderating position, which I'm totally against. But if anything, it has gotten worse. It has absolutely nothing to do with Washington going 6-7 or Oregon going 13-1.

The tone here was set very early on by a number of UW posters. You either knuckled under to them or you fought fire with fire. DJ was all about everything you said you wanted this board to be and he was harassed and abused for it while you said and did nothing.
