Walters is a DB coach so this makes sense. Maybe UW hires a real special teams coach or a DL/edge coach to split up Kafusi’s responsibilities.

Well at least he is leaving for a DC job. Sunseri was a very good recruiter, sucks to lose that.
John Richardson coaches CBs so Walters will be the safeties coach.
Yes, would be nice to have an edge coach because Kaufusi needs help, particularly on the recruiting side.

If you asked me to name our coaches, I would know Fisch, Carroll, Walters, and Paopao. I have no idea who coaches the other positions
I like Scottie Graham as RB coach, Kevin Cummings as WR, Bala as LB coach, and John Richardson as DB coach. Taylor Mays replaced Sunseri and easily has more NFL experience along with better West Coast recruiting ties:
Carroll and Kaufusi largely get a mulligan for last year since they had 0 out of 9 returning starters but 2025 is a show-me season.
