    I was watching. I said "who is John Lennon?". Dad said he was a Beatles, which I knew of, but it still didn't mean much. I knew We Can Work it Out but couldn't name another Beatles or Lennon song.

    They got us a turntable/8 track combo for Christmas with Double Fantasy (on 8 track) and that was the start of me being a Beatles fan.

    Also got Kiss Alive II on vinyl so I was kind of a Kiss fan for a while too.
