YAH, the town is on fire about the exciting offseason moves while the mariners wait to see if they can scoop one single guy that has nowhere else to sign.
I was a YUGE M’s fan from the 70s until they were koed by the NYY a month after 9/11. Haven’t watched a single game on tv anywhere including the year I heard the Cubs won. Went to one baseball game here in San Diego only because a friend invited me and I only had to buy myself a couple beers. Never seen this cat called Otahni? I guess he is called Babe Ruth from Japan, haven’t seen an inning. #sodoMojo and Jr! Can’t recall who the Padres played having attended exactly one boring ball game since 2000ish
Enjoyed checking the daily box scores in the times or PI decades ago, back when we? would learn about the Huskies recruiting in the Seattle papers
The Ms are still a hot ticket. They are guaranteed to win about 85 games and have the Moog fan base semi excited in mid September. That's what they're good for.
Gotta follow something. That's my excuse. My fantasy baseball team can only occupy me for a few minutes per evening in the summer.
when they basically got next to nothing at the final trade deadline during the 116 win season and ultimately lost to NY, my Ms heart officially died. Zero regrets after 24 years because their ownership seemed similar to Jerry Jones of today being ok turning a big profit and not seemingly all in to win a SB. If they make the World Series I might get on board briefly. Not holding my breath though
Many fond memories in the Kingdom taking my kids in the early years. I was at one game at Safeco years ago but haven’t lived in years for decades.

only good news from this bitch made franchise in years.

Their big off-season moves were acquiring Arozarena and Robles late last season.
I'm just saying that now to save Dipoto the trouble later. He has made that sort of comment in the past.
So true, that is what he will say. Meanwhile they lost a bat at the same time with turner.
