DOGE versus DEI

WestlinnDuckWestlinnDuck Member Posts: 15,545 Standard Supporter

Our side is trying to return competence, responsibility and accountability to government employment and one side (Team Dazzler) is bent on unconstitutionally hiring based on skin color (whites don't have the right skin color) and sex (white makes don't have the right sex unless they are gay or trans). I can't wait for our Tug leftards to let us know the policy reasons for the crap that follows.

DEI-Crazy Biden Administration Finds One Group It Won't Extend Hiring Preferences To: Veterans, Of Course

—Ace

The Biden Administration is so DEI-crazy that they demanded a DEI concession in the investigation of a fatal air collision: Biden's race-hustler officials demanded that this crucial investigatory panel be chosen according to DEI factors.

364 people died in this collision, and Biden wants it investigated by a firm that is diverse but not necessarily competent.

A judge rejected this lunacy.

Boeing plea deal over 737 MAX fatal crashes rejected -- judge faults feds' DEI requirement

A federal judge on Thursday rejected Boeing's agreement to plead guilty to fraud in the wake of two fatal 737 MAX crashes, faulting a diversity and inclusion provision in the deal regarding the selection of an independent monitor to audit the planemaker's compliance practices.

Boeing and the Justice Department now have 30 days to update the court on how they plan to proceed in the case, Judge Reed C. O'Connor of the Northern District of Texas ordered.

Spokespeople for Boeing and DOJ did not respond immediately to requests for comment.

Relatives of the victims of the two 737 MAX crashes, which occurred in 2018 and 2019 and killed 346 people, have called the agreement a "sweetheart" deal that failed to adequately hold Boeing accountable for the deaths of their loved ones.

The judge's objections center on the government's diversity and inclusion policy covering the selection of an independent monitor to oversee Boeing's compliance with the agreement for three years.

"The plea agreement requires the parties to consider race when hiring the independent monitor," O'Connor wrote in his decision. "In a case of this magnitude, it is in the utmost interest of justice that the public is confident this monitor selection is done based solely on competency."

Biden has directed every single agency to put DEI at the highest priority in staffing.

But there's a problem: Those damn white men that Biden is determined will never have a job in government kept getting hired.

How? How was this happening?

Well, there was a provision in the law going back to the 40s giving military veterans who actually served in battle a preference in being hired for federal job.

As more straight white men serve in battle than any other group, this was an oversight allowing straight white men to get jobs without discrimination against them, a dangerous back-door permitting them to get jobs which must be eliminated so that only racial minorities, women, and gays can get federal jobs.

So Biden revoked the post-WWII provision.

Debra Heine:

The Biden regime has quietly revoked the veterans hiring preference for civil service jobs and promotions, which since the 1944 Veterans Act gave eligible veterans preference over others for appointments in federal civil service selection, a memorandum obtained by American Greatness shows. The goal of the veterans' preference law was to "provide a uniform method by which qualified veterans [could] receive special consideration for federal employment," according to Military.com.

By law, veterans who are disabled or who served on active duty during certain specified time periods or in military campaigns are entitled to preference over non-veterans both in hiring from competitive lists and in retention during reductions in force.

New guidelines from the Defense Civilian Personnel Advisory Service (DCPAS) now stipulate that "veterans' preference should be considered on an equal basis as other qualified candidates."

...

A source from the U.S. Air Force told American Greatness: "This is government-wide hiring has ramped up like never before seen. They are literally packing the federal workforce with as many loyalists and subversives as they can. Worst of all, they think it is their duty to do so."

He added: "Since DEI is getting pettifogged rather harshly (and rightly so) this is yet another way they can worm into the bureaucracy--at the expense of veterans."

The source told American Greatness that "veterans are being cast aside for this new workforce (wokeforce)."

And anything Elon can do to cripple NASA is just a bonus.

I’m moved to tears by your sanctimony.

They are tears of laughter. But still moved.

Right now over 90% of the NASA launches are Elon's. Quite the crippling. You suck at this.

“I think Elon should pick winners and losers” POTD!

I think the market should pick winners and losers which it has. Boeing and Bezos sh*t the bed and want some more of Team Dazzler's handouts. It's amazing that a trillion plus dollars of the dems Make Inflation Greater Act are specifically targeted to pick losers over winners and yet our mythical MBA isn't aware of this minor piece of legislation that Headboard claimed as part of the dems great job on the economy.

Musk bailed out stuck NASA astronauts and launches satellites at a fraction of the cost that NASA has and board genius H thinks that's picking winners

    That's being a winner

The dazzler got the memo that was issued after Musk converted Twitter into the world's largest free speech platform and then came out against government waste and endorsed Trump. They hate Musk like they hate Trump. Sad that the left and the MSM/Hollywood Deep State love censorship and hate accountability and responsibility in government and hate American exceptionalism are the guiding light for the Tug leftards. And the dazzler claims to have voted twice for reasons he can't explain or why he voted for the dementia patient and then Headboard.

GEORGE MF WASHINGTON: Men and Their Dreams.

“Tucker The Man and His Dream”, like “Caddyshack”, “Animal House”, “Trading Places”, “Wall Street” and a million other classic Hollywood stories from the 80’s is not about rich versus poor. It’s about class. Preston Tucker’s real crime, like Al Czervick and Danny Noonan at Bushwood, the brothers and pledges of Delta Tau Chi, Winthorp and Billy Ray Valentine, and Bud Fox at Jackson Steinem, is that he tried to rise above his station and was destroyed by the powerful public and private interests who, in Hollywood’s view, enforce a rigid social hierarchy and control America in a way that is unfair and ultimately illegitimate.

And the thing is, they weren’t wrong. We cheer at the end of all these movies because, Preston Tucker excepted, the heroes of these movies defeat those corrupt entrenched interests and succeed beyond their wildest dreams.

And that’s America. Or it used to be.

The problem is that, somewhere along the way, Hollywood switched sides.

Elon Musk is everything those movies once celebrated about the great idea men of America, and yet there is no more hated individual in Hollywood right now than Elon Musk. All over town, executives are abandoning their Teslas and fleeing his free speech platform X for the sunnier partisan silos of Bluesky where censorship is not only allowed, but encouraged… which is a hell of a thing for an industry which came of age during the “Blacklist Era” to do.

And why? Because Musk defied them. He chose to take the side of the disruptors against the powerful entrenched interests… of which Hollywood is now a critical part.

Hollywood has become a defender of the system, rather than a critic of it. When Musk betrayed that system he betrayed them. And so they attacked, ultimately throwing in their lot with the same side which ultimately destroyed Preston Tucker… a truly nefarious partnership between government and corporate interests. For all the talk of Fascism flying around the corridors of Hollywood these days, they seem to have missed a critical classroom lesson somwhere along the way.

Would Francis Coppola, or any other “elite” American filmmaker ever dare to make a movie called “Musk: The Man and His Dream”? Would any traditional Hollywood studio finance it?

To ask the question, is to answer it.

What a change we’ve seen since 1988. In the Hollywood of 2024, men and their dreams are all well and good, just as long as they stay in their place.

This dovetails with what James Delingpole dubbed  “The Drawbridge Effect” a decade ago:

You’ve made your money. Now the very last thing you want is for all those trashy middle class people below you to have a fair shot at getting as rich as you are. That’s why you want to make energy more expensive by opposing Keystone XL; why you’re all for environmental land sequestration (because you already own your exclusive country property); and Agenda 21 – which will make all Americans poorer, but you not so much, because you’ve enough cash to cushion you from the higher taxes and regulation with which the greenies want to hamstring the economy.

No wonder the left hates anyone who wants to lower that drawbridge.
