The largest pharmaceutical companies had an emergency meeting the day after the election
Established Republicans absolutely silent in their support of Trump
Military elites screaming foul on appointments
Not a bleep coming from Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman, RTX Corporation, etc.
Strange how that the three areas milking Americans the most (The military complex, lifelong politicians, and big pharma) are the loudest in opposition or absolutely silence in support in the case for the politicians and our arms manufacturers. Established Republicans are witnessing the control of all three branches of government (judicial branch, house and senate, and executive branch) yet they seem very mute.
I honestly fear for Trump's life right now. There is a lot of power and money in the status quo that is about to be fucked up by the Trump agenda. These areas are entrenched in global influence, power, and money. If something happens to Trump, its not the left, it's not a lunatic, it's one or all of these three groups working together in unison.
If Trump is able to survive his term, the Trump's agenda will see:
A decline in military spending
Term limits in Congress
Sharp declines in the price of prescription drugs
Strong regulations on food sold in this country
Big Pharma, Big Military, and those accepting big handouts from said groups will lose big.
Contrary to what people say, this group is the most powerful group in the world. And crossing their path is the most dangerous thing a President could do. We should all be afraid, because something will have to give, and this group would rather see the world burn than watch their empire collapse.
Unfortunately, term limits will never, ever happen. Those that are in the cushy seats will never vote themselves out of power and wealth.
Back in the 90's there were 4 elected officials that ran on a term limit premise. If they got elected they would only serve 2 terms and then retire, allowing new blood to come in. None of them honored their pledges. They all went back on their word.
Unfortunately not. The House and Senate have to vote on term limits.
There has been talk over the years about a minimum of 34 state legislatures getting together and forcing some sort of vote but I am way over my head here on how that would all work. This is an issue that over 75% of Americans see as a need.

The FBI may have already done a number on Gaetz
I want to see the proof on the allegations
Release the alleged report that he supposedly resigned to avoid
Anyone taking the FBI at their word is a moron

I wouldn't put it past them.

can term limits be done under executive order and then leave it to the incoming president to have to make the unpopular choice of removing it?

I think voters need to vote them out
