Thune won his last senate race from South Dakota in 2022 with 70% of the vote. Trump has won big in South Dakota in all three of his races. Unfortunately Thune isn't up for re-election until 2028. He has a little fuck you money. He has been a defacto Washington DC resident for the last 27 years (elected to Congress in 1997). Like Cocaine Mitch who left Kentucky for the swamp in 1975 to work in the AG's office and was elected to Congress in 1985. Both arrived as true conservatives and now both are deep swamp supporters. Going to be a tough row for real reform.
What's madding about this is look at those states? Other than Maine they are all red, or in some cases deep red states. Do any blue states have Moderate Senators? Hell no.

I don't trust him. He's from South Dakota and no George McGovern
Or Kristi
More of a Dutch type
This is like Oregon fans preferring Fisch to DeBoer
I wonder how much reach Filipowski will have now in X considering the DNC/Harros campaign isn’t paying for his timeline boosts anymore.
He failed at his job and he was being paid for it as an “influencer.”
He stayed on my algorithm because I like messing with him. A useless piece of shit
Both Thune and Scott are imperfect but aren't we all
Scott did red flag laws and tuition for illegals
Thune was a squish first term and during J6
We'll see

As was the case in the first term, the GOP is the biggest threat to Trump
