Army and Navy both ranked together first time since 1960

“Amazingly, if both teams finish undefeated, they will play for a conference title on Dec. 6 before then playing a rematch on Dec. 14 in the official Army-Navy game. The former would be taken under consideration for the College Football Playoff. The latter will not.”

If either finish undefeated, I don't see how you can leave them off, considering they will have each beaten Notre Dame, with one exception. If Boise State wins out, they will only have one loss with that being a three point road loss at Oregon who are likely to be a top 5 team at season end.

1960 Army as you all remember beat Cal to go 3-0 and enter the pole at number 18. Then lost to Penn State at home the following week

many of you recall the 1960 Navy middies beating Washington in Seattle. The huskies only loss on their way to the national title
