I thought we were able to keep our high-end guysm once they proved what they were. Rome, MPJ, Jalen, etc. We just won't pay for unproven kids. We just won't.

Lose @ Iowa 13-10 and the future won't look as good.

Regardless, pretty good take at the two deeps and Paki Finau could slide in at LG with Mamelaar moving to RG. Watkins Jr. has good size but not the ceiling that Paki does.

Boston may stay as repeatable years are more important to NFL scouts.

Elinneus Davis may be starting next year, I like him a lot.

If Durfee leaves or can't get healthy, Edge concerns me. We(?) won't have a bigger Edge who is a 3-down guy (Ward is a good pass-rusher but teams could run at him if he plays running downs too much).

LB is a question mark since who is the run stopper there? House looks good for a true frosh but he's not a big guy and neither is Devin Bryant. The Michigan transfer (Hayden Moore) will be a RS-Soph but could be a depth player, I'm not sure.

My shopping list would have a prioritize a road-grading RG, a big TE to complement DeGraf, possibly a big WR if Boston leaves, a stud Edge (would cost top $$$$), and a thumper Senior LB since Gregory and Inge didn't recruit well there in the 2021, 2022, and 2023 classes. Zadarius will likely get some PT but tough to rely on frosh and sophs.

If a Sebastian Valdez-like player is available, definitely grab him at DT since Sagapolu could decide to move on and the Parker twins may not be fully healthy for the start of 2025.

CAn't believe I'm doing this in mid October, but here goes:

-Closing strong would be awesome. Get to best bowl possible and start Demond and have him play well and build excitement.

-Assume Coleman is gone. RBs have short shelf lives. I have no idea how the NFL feels about him so assume there's a small chance if he's a Day 3+ guy you can give him an NIL which is better.

-Agree Boston needs to come back unless he can get a for sure first round grade. Odunze, Polk, McMillan made a lot of money proving it their second big years over leaving after 2022.

-Depending on the situation I wonder if TE Moore can redshirt or get a year back, if he wants, I know he's old.

-Big questions on defense, especially since Belichick could leave and we actually have a ton of seniors there.

-True that in the Big 10 we're gonna need more big thumpers in the front 7 than we did in the Pac-12. Gonna have to hit the portal there.

I can’t see Boston leaving after one good year unless he doesn’t see Williams providing the passing game he’ll need to impress. Second year in this system and he could be putting up TMac type numbers.

No offense but what's all the excitement in Demond Williams? He seems like a poor man's Fafita who's a poor man's Kyler Murray who probably has at least 2-3 inches on both of them.

The coaches are keeping it really conservative with him in the sense he isn't being asked to push the ball down the field throwing like Rogers does.

The runs, screens, and tricks plays are all fine. We have no idea how good he is at dropping back and throwing intermediate and long routes.

He is probably decent to good at it, but we don't know.

Thanks. If I'm being honest, his throw back across the field looked like a WR trying to throw it as hard as he can on a trick play. It didn't look like a potentially starting QB making that throw. I hope I'm wrong but he looks very little out there.
