NIL deal must not have been fulfilled. Despite being 3-0 and ranked for the first time in school history, he's using his RS and going to portal to a P4 school next year
Other rumors out there are saying his UNLV NIL was honored but that he was offered another NIL deal (larger than UNLV) to save his eligibility and transfer to another school. Other rumors are saying that he tried to re-negotiate his UNLV deal based upon their recent success, and when that didn't work out, he decided to leave.
I'm not surprised by any of this. I think we're going to see a lot of guys shut it down mid-year if they know they're going to be someplace else the following year making a lot more money.
I'm also wondering how many guys are going to opt-out of the playoffs to preserve their health, either to go to the NFL, or just to make sure they get the bag they were offered to go to whatever school they'll be transferring to the following year.
(I can't wait to see how some of these NIL deals are structured once the litigation starts).
Everyone is simply auditioning to get their next payday.

Quitting on your team isn't a resume builder
UNLV out with that story.
Wonder if they have a money-back guarantee for when kids break their contracts
Journalist makes this statement… but it turns out he's a PR agent for the OC who made the verbal $100,000 NIL offer
Also, starting RB is opting out this season
What a shitshow
This is the college football the cunty sportswriters dreamed of. NCAA did nothing to protect the product they had.

If this keeps going on we will need our own Transfer Portal DMV Waiting Room thread
Does this end with only the SEC, Oregon, and Ohio State continuing to play football?
how many times has bear portal'd?
