No. Even though I'm a native Califag, I love Bend and don't want to move. MrsSnow identifies and California, but have never been a full time resident.
His cinco reasons is pretty spot on.
In order to make it in bend, you have to be skrong on the following:
1- Have a stable virtual jerb (we both do) or being a local doc or lawyer
2- Love skiing and appreciate that Mt Bachelor is the primary amenity
3- Can't be a pussy about wildfire smoke and accept it as cost of doing business. The forest are on fire across the Western US and if you're me or @EsophagealFeces or anyone else near piney woods, you're gonna get smoke.
4- You've gotta love Mt Biking, Fly fishing, etc. If you just wanna sit on a beach in So Cal, Bend ain't for you.
5- You have to value the small town living over big city amenities. This is probably the hardest for Mrs Snow- i.e., access to direct flights anywhere and having shopping. I don't really GAF myself.
