Thanks, roster Taft!
I have to wonder if this is the most turnover in progrum history for one year? I think a lot of the big dawgs are having a lot of turnover too, but they're also able to reload better in the portal.
It is, as most years are around 15-25 given the scholarship cap. Never have we see 4 QBs or 10 OL leave in a year
Huh?
Is anyone else struggling to recognize five familiar names?
How many were out of eligibility vs portaled vs left early for the NFL?
Here's my positives on the guys coming back who have actually played anything significant for UW so far (so not considering transfers):
Cam Davis - Should be a really good #2 back, if healthy. I think he's really good at getting 1-3 yards when you need it.
Boston - Sounds like a practice hero so far and has elite measurable
Giles Jackson - He was huge in some moments last season and could be a good slot guy.
Hatchett - Really hope he's healthy he popped in running blocking when I saw him last year.
Voi Tunuufi - Had a knack for making explosive plays - big sack against Caleb Williams and took out McCarthy on a scramble for a loss against Michigan.
Jayvon Parker - ZTF strip sack against USC he's pushing his guy into Williams which helps make the play. Final play against Texas he pushes the guard into Ewers' face and forces the throw early.
Jacob Lane - Seemed to get pressures in limited snaps.
Bruener - Reliable and one of the best returning LBs in the Big 10. The best returning player who has played.
Bandes - uh….
Tuputala - uh…
Thaddeus Dixon - Seemed like he was getting good at the end of last season. Makes strong plays on the ball and run game.
Elijah Jackson - Maybe the swat changes everything?
KamFab - Was exceptional when he had moments in 2023. Will he be able to do it as an every down guy?
Esteen - Got a pick in the Appy Cup, right?
