Map at WaPo (TITTT):
States I was miles from and chose not to take the extra 5 minutes to half hour to visit: Delaware and South Carolina.
I don't count airports, or Missouri, Michigan, and Minnesota would be checked off. With the exception of North Carolina, Montana, and New Jersey, I've stayed at least a night each state.

My criteria is that I have to drive through the state, spend the night or have a meal.
I have a Google sheet tracking the states I’ve been to and the states Mrs Nacho and I have been to together because I’m a nerd.
I’m at 43. Never made to Alaska or anything past New York. Mrs Nacho and I have to 36 states together and we’re knocking Utah off the list in September with tentative plans for Louisiana, Delaware and Maryland next year.
I thought I'd been to many more states than this, but the number is 12.
and like Hooligan said, I didn't count airports.
You have to either have sex in or receive road head traveling through for it to count.
NM, AK, NH, VT, MN, WV, OK, CO, NE, WY remaining.
Come visit Kentucky. I hear the glory hole scene is hopping. I wouldn’t know because there are never any in the double wide wheelchair accessible stalls and those are the only stalls I can fit in.
I'm planning on knocking off Kentucky when I attend the Indiana gayme. I'll bring my jig saw to create a big enough hole at the Bloomington Leonard Springs Nature Park Rest Area.
Im really not much of a traveler.
13. And I lost the image somehow.
I'm just trying to figure out how you got to Maine, and New Hampshire without landing, then travelling through Boston / Massachusetts.
Ruling out airport stops, it's 24 for me.
Lexington was cool but Louisville was as boring a big city as I’ve ever been to. Total snooze fest.
I lived in fucking Oklahoma.

I might go to that game. Look for me, I’ll be wearing purple.
I'm at 30. I feel like I'm very not alone that never going to New England and the like north plains and upper midwest is what I'm missing.
I once drove I-90 from Pennsylvania all the way to Seattle in 3 days. Two highlights were stopping at Wall Drug in South Dakota, and stopping in Wallace, ID which just had a cool, old mountain town vibe and it was weird because it was literally directly under the highway.
Current travel plans include checking off Ohio, Kentucky, and Indiana in October, then potentially Wisconsin next summer.
Feel like Nevada and Tennessee are most likely next (Las Vegas and/or Nashvegas), followed by Wisconsin.
Driving is VA/NC/SC/DC/MD/DE/PA/NJ/OH/IN, rest are flying or flying then driving close by.
Full disclosure…the ONLY reason I could post this map is that my daughter was here to show me how to do it. What time does the Bingo game start?…fml
@PurpleThrobber popped his cherry at a Wallace whorehouse.
