Jood apparently got up early enough to pass on that the game at Boise will be either a Thursday/Friday game (which means ESPN) ... but also that switches out the Sacramento State game that was planned for the 5th. Could mean that we're looking to buy out that game and replace with a better opponent on the 19th.
Further, with the struggles in the Hawai'i Athletic Department, we could also be looking at needing to scramble that game next year on the 12th.
Looks like I'm FS for my last post ... forgot about Utah State next year on the 19th and moving the Sacramento State game back to the 12th with Hawaii going to somewhere else in the future (i.e. will never happen).
This is what I get for going to the actual UW website.
Step in the right direction. Is it too late to cancel some of the future dreck while we are at it? I have no interest in watching us scrimmage Big Sky teams.
"Those upcoming schedules are an embarrassment to humanity. "
One Power five team per year (Boise gets the ND exemption since they are a better team than ND). One FCS per year and one non Power Five FBS team which may or may not be decent.
Until the other power conferences schedule 9 conference games - this is as good as it gets.
In the meantime count the worst P12 south team on the schedule as another Power 5 opponent.
I'm tired of UW playing BYU - I'd rather see UW play some new ACC team or 2nd tier Big 10 team. Michigan will unfortunately probably be good again by 2020.

lets hope we still have college football in 6 years
1) One of Idaho or Portland State needs to fall off of the 2016 schedule
2) 2017 has an open date that needs to be filled by either a neutral field game or putting together a 2017/2020 home and home with someone
3) 2021 needs to be filled with a regional team like a Fresno, Utah St, etc. that will prepare the team for the game the following week @ Michigan.
