Where is Lee Atwater when we need him? This is a winning issue and needs to be pressed by the Republicans is they want to win. The average suburban wine mom doesn't think about getting an abortion every day but they do worry about a horrific death from a violent offender who either should be in jail or shouldn't be in the entire country.

BLOOD ON BIDEN’S HANDSHow many Americans have been assaulted, raped, maimed or murdered by illegals who have streamed into our country at the invitation of Joe Biden’s open border policies? No one knows, but it is safe to say that Rachel Morin is one among many.
Morin, a 37 year old mother of five, went for a run in Harford County, Maryland. She was waylaid by Victor Martinez Hernandez, who raped, viciously beat, and murdered her. Hernandez is an illegal alien. He reportedly is associated with the MS-13 gang and was wanted for murder in El Salvador, so he fled to the U.S.
A sane country would take every reasonable measure to prevent escaping murderers and gang members from crossing its borders, but we are not a sane country. We elected Joe Biden president. It has been reported that Hernandez entered the country in February 2023, but I am not sure how we know that. Did he use Joe Biden’s app to facilitate his illegal entry? Was he given a free cell phone? I don’t know.
Hernandez started the U.S. leg of his violent crime spree with a home invasion in Los Angeles, in which he assaulted, but did not kill, a woman and her young daughter. His next known crime was the murder of Rachel Morin, although it wouldn’t be surprising if he committed others to which he has not yet been connected.
His capture seems to have been a marvel of police work, using DNA evidence among other things. I take it that law enforcement officers from several jurisdictions were working together. Somehow, they located Hernandez in a bar in Tulsa and arrested him. If one-millionth as much care were taken by the Biden administration to prevent illegals from entering the country, as is taken by law enforcement after they commit a brutal murder, many thousands of Americans would not be victimized.
The Sheriff of Harford County, Jeffrey Gahler, has had enough:
“I want to now direct these comments 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue to every member in both chambers of Congress: We are 1,800 miles away — here in Harford County — we are 1,800 miles away from the southern border,” Sheriff Gahler said Saturday. “The American citizens are not safe because of failed immigration policies. This is the second time in just two years that an innocent Harford County woman has lost her life to a criminal in our country illegally.”
Last year, a 17-year-old Salvadoran boy who entered the country illegally was charged in the 2022 slaying of a woman in Aberdeen, Maryland.

About 1/3 of America's police departments no longer send their crime data to the FBI. Many lefty loon city departments purposely don't report race correctly by changing it…
Many cities are dropping the physical requirements for police officers so they can get people through the door. And they’re paying for testing, which typically was paid by the person that’s trying to be a cop. No one wants the job.
Your reward for aggressive policing? Jail and the release of the criminal. Your reward for phoning it in? Same paycheck, no jail and no one trying to put you in the hospital. I can't think of a more morally debilitating job than being an white male blue city cop.
