Jerry West was a real legend from player to GM. One of the first stars in the fledgling NBA he was lucky there was no Twitter when he played. Watching the Lakers lose to the Celtics was an annual rite of Spring. He would show up on shows like the Brady Bunch, the sign of a true 60's icon.
Always enjoyed his appearances' on Rome or Dan Patrick. All class
And nobody hated to lose as much as Jerry. When I say I Jerry West watch a Husky game I mean I couldn't watch it.

The Throbber had a poster above his bed of Jerry West driving on Lou Hudson. No homo.
Legend doesn’t even begin to describe his legacy and impact on the game.
He was the Logo for a reason, and it was earned…he hated to lose slightly more than I hated him losing. My hatred (with respect) of the Celtics was born during this time…
He traded Divac for Kobe and lured Shaq to LA in the same week. Pretty good week IMHO
