Charlie Wilson's War-
A film about a man who thought he was doing the right thing by taking down an enemy. He armed the Afghan people against the Soviets during the height of the cold war to create a 1980's version of Vietnam for the USSR. The plan became a success, the Mujahideen were able to take out heavy Soviet equipment and effectively create an unwinnable situation in the region.
In the end, Wilson 's aide is telling him a story about a Zen master who reminded a town that current actions didn't always predict the intended results.
The Mujahideen eventually became the Taliban.
The dems think their victory yesterday will be long lived.
