He's a bum. Had an under .500 record before getting the Michigan job. When the reason you are getting the job is solely because you are a Michigan man, you don't deserve the job.

Just heard a long interview with him. Not a guy I would follow into battle.
Well then, let's just write off Michigan. With the news of Braxton Miller, the Biggest ten is ripe for the pickens. If Hoke can't win it this year he'll be gone anyway.
The big10 is in last place among the power 5. If Nebraska's head bafoon cant win it he'll be gone too (extention or not) Although I believe this is Pelini's year.
This conference is horrible. Shit Ferentz might win it all. The good thing and forgive me for the tangent I've went on, is anyone as happy as me to see Oscar Meyer lose his QB for the season? Couldn't happen to a bigger peckerwood and fan base
The Big Ten has become a joke. They are terrible. Nebraska isn't a bad choice, but Pelini has proven to be pretty mediocre. There is a bad vibe within their program and fan base.
Even with Miller out for the year, I think Ohio State and Michigan State are the top contenders.
55, tOSU is starting 3-4 new offensive linemen, no Carlos Hyde and a freshman now at QB.. They are fucked even though they only have 1 difficult game. No way they even win their division, that's how important Tony Braxton was to this team. Iowa or Nebraska wins the conference. Michigan state is probably the new popular pick withe news of miller, but they lost some key starters. It's my pick so I'm siding with the aforementioned. Wisconsin has the best ground game but nobody to throw to. Man coverage all year. Gordon is a marked man.
MSU and tOSU are in the same division. The East will go to MSU.
Wisconsin plays no one this year from the East (they miss tOSU, MSU, Michigan and Penn State) and the West is a dreckfest besides Nebraska. They'll win the West.
MSU over Wisconsin in the B1G Championship and they'll play in the Orange Bowl.

I'll adjust my prediction when I watch 12-13 games

It's actually been pretty bad for a while. I actually thought N and State Penn would lift them up, but that hasn't happened at all. I think they have something like two or three NC's since 1968. Phlembechler got his ass kicked in a lot of Rose Bowels because he was stuck in caveman conservative football mode. SUNJ and Mary's lamb won't help one bit, just in TV ratings (that's all that matters1!!!one hundred eleven!!).

They have 1/2 of an NC since like the 30's. Bo didn't win a title. They just propped him up because Woody needed someone to beat that people would recognize.

Tony Braxton was the guy on their team, but it's Ohio State. They will always have talent and they have one of the best coaches in the country leading their team. Michigan State and Ohio State are in the same division now. Michigan State always has a good defense with Dantonio and Narduzzi, and their QB is actually pretty good. The rest of the teams are garbage. You can already count Michigan out with Hoak and Penn State is probably two years away from being able to compete at that level. I'm not sold on Franklin either. He is a great recruiter though, but so is Hoke. You gotta be able to coach.
In the other division Wisconsin or Nebraska is my pick. I'll go with Wisconsin. Iowa has been shitty for awhile under Ferentz. Illinois, Iowa, Minnesota, Nebraska, Northwestern, Purdue, and Wisconsin are the teams. That's an embarrassingly bad division.

Michigan's Gilby
Gilby won a Sugar Bowl?
Hoke isn't as bad as Gilby, but a lot had to go right to make that Sugar Bowl where they beat Virginia Tech (always medicore) in OT. Hoke's first year is when Ohio State went to shit because of Tressell getting fired right before the season. Their schedule was really easy too. It will never get any better than that under Hoke.

I'm just being snarky.
My wife's family are all Michigan fans ... her dad graduated from there in the 60's.
Bobby Hoke is a fucking joke and should have been fired last year.
That said ... winning a Sugar Bowl and going 10-2 buys you some time at any school ...

Kirk Ferenteenttznenzz might be the Sark of the Big 10 but that schedule sets up nicely. No Ohio St, no Michigan St, no Penn St. Nebraska and Wisconsin at home. Beat 1 of those 2 at home, don't fuck up with your harder road games and win 2 out of the 3 (@ Pitt, @ Maryland, @Minnesota) and Iowa wins the division.

If we are going to bash fat people, I'm out!
Because he does.
(yr, of course)
