Us Foxes are not crazy about this Friday night shit. It’s a net negative because we lose a shit ton of late news. Even with twice the :30 rate compared to normal programming, we have less than 50% inventory in comparison.
yeah, good point. We have an hour and a half of evening news and we get 100% of that inventory. With the games, Fox only gives the local affiliate 14 spots per game. We double the cost per spot in the games but lose money with less inventory compared to when we have no Friday night games. Lose a min of $3k - $5k every Friday they have football.
This is a great thing. Oregon and Washington both have two, while others have zero, but these are the national Fox games. You know damn well the conference will even it up somewhat, so now those schools with zero Friday night games will be forced into Peacock and FS1.

Doesn't the airtime have higher value with CFB versus local news?
Two fewer Claire sightings, so there's that.
