The precedent was to cut down TREES that were in the transmission line easements. You should take some basic American geography and compare and contrast range land with forest land. You might also want to compare the respective death tolls.
Moneybags here allegedly has spent time in the PNW yet apparently knows zero about prescriptive forest maintenance burning to prevent massive fires. It was banned in California until recently because some animals might be affected instead of eventually having their entire ecosystems burned to the ground.
