Not so fast, my friend. . . . . Oregon decided playing Hawaii was too risky and pulled out. . . . . . . Seriously.
Hmmmm.. I just saw it listed on ESPN's website
Pretty sure it is not listed by either 0regon or Hawaii. Doesn't surprise me that the SEC ball sucking network has no clue.
(edit: not sure why. Reward your players with a trip to Hawaii and get 13 regular season games. Which means an extra week of training since the season starts 8/24. And Hawaii is not holding 0regon below 50 points - ZERO chance of losing).
It pains me to admit this but FOX (sports) »»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»espn.
Florida State vs Georgia Tech in Ireland just like the old days.
cancelled

Canzano I think also wrote an article … it seems like there is some circumstance from making it official like both teams finding an opponent and probably a payout.
0regon does not get another game due to the cancellation. It was the NCAA gifted 13th game if you are willing to travel to Honolulu for a game. It does not count towards the limit of 12 regular season games imposed by the ncaa. I get that the guy is an unpaid contributor to Honolulu Civil beat but replacing the game with 0regon v 0regon State is not even a tiny part of the decision. It can't be. Not even if they scheduled it (the civil war) in Honolulu.
(The most likely culprit was simply the length of the season (13th game) on top of the potential long season that accompanies a possible B1G title such with the CCG and the potential of running the 12 team playoff without a first round bye. No one is ready for an 18 game season. Not that it will happen.)
Weird headline since it means Hello AND Goodbye
great explanation, this makes perfect sense.
playing in August is special
OREGON SAYS SAYONARA to 2024 SEASON OPENER IN HAWAII
Sound like Oregons scared of the Rainbow Warriors.
We? just need to wait a few more years for the Mountain 12, Pac 2, and Academies Coastal Conference teams to dry up so that they can be suitable preseason matchups.
UW site lists the Weber State game as August 31. 24th would suck. Going to a game on Labor Day weekend is already hard enough.
My post says Aug 31
Delaware State has replaced 0regon as Hawaii's 8/24 foe. Now THAT is a matchup worth watching.
