I just realized that nobody probably knows this reference. Jack McDuff had a song called the The Honeydripper, plus it was a play off of The Honeybadger.
Lol yeah, he should've stayed in college instead of getting a first round paycheck, being named an All-Pro in year 2, and winning back-to-back Super Bowls. I'm sure he's really kicking himself for not getting to ride with that epic Inge and Morrell defense.
In all seriousness though, the timing of his college career is a fucking shame. He was part of three remarkably lame teams, one of which was a nothing covid season. I'm glad he's making up for that by having what is arguably the most epic start a player could ever have in the NFL.
Vea, Gaines, Kikaha, Baker, Molden, McDuffie...I think that would be my A list. Gordon, Sid Jones, and maybe Trice receive votes. I'm probably forgetting someone.
It seems like Molden is one of the more dominant players UW has had in my memory but he doesn't get a lot of mention with the greats.
How many years was he a starter? At least 2 and it was COVID and 2021. As has been mentioned, Lake played him and Kyler Gordon 10-15 yards pff of WRs while teams ran the damn ball against UW those 2 years. I think his opportunities to make lasting memories is tainted (FREE PUB for @GrundleStiltzkin) by those 2 seasons.

Should have stayed for five years. Imagine him on the last two teams. Would have been worth it for him.
Yeah man. Probably the best of an amazing group of DBs from UW. He was good at everything as a true freshman.
Good at everything? Like pup?
Nobody executed the ring sting like Pup, but McDuffie is right there by every other measure.
I'm just glad we had him 15 yards off the line most of his career with Kyler opposite doing the same.
Exactly. Why play those 2 in tight man coverage?
My favorite UW defensive player of the last decade. An absolute stud from day 1 and a great Dawg in every way
He could've flashed the W sign after each play
I used to call him The Honeydripper.

Favorite defensive player since Milloy at least for me.

My favorite status would go to either Gaines or Vea. Pre-injury Azeem would be a close third.
