August Ames got a yank or two back in the day. Her name is my birth month so I always felt us kindred summer spirits.

For some reason I know the names of more male pornstars than female. Is that gay? Or am I just sexist against women?
A college buddy went to work for the porn industry in film production back in the 80's after we graduated. While he could go on location where they were shooting and watching porn stars do their thing, he spent most of his time in post production stuff. He ended up dating for half a year a part time porn star. She showed up when others would be unable to perform due to drug addiction, violence, etc. She was a very cute girl and did the "young" roles when called upon but her real goal was film production. I went to dinner with them when in LA on business back in 1989. I was amazed at how sweet and cute she was. Couldn't believe she was participating in something I still believe is slimy and horrible to women. Anyway, she committed suicide by drug overdose some years after my friend quit dating her and had moved on to his career in film production.
I have had many chats with my buddy about porn stars. Like Howard Stern used to ask all those prn stars that went on his show "Who raped or molested you". My friend estimates 90% of them come from horrible family situations and were molested by family or family friends when they were young.
The stories about the parties were incredible but what were more fascinating were the fights on set and the melt downs with the female porn stars prior to or during filming. Very sad.
