Oregon Under Scrutiny for Alleged Tampering with FSU RB Rodney Hill Following NIL Dispute

Isn't everyone accused of tampering at this point? Who cares. Wasn't there some now dead Doog narrative that the NCAA was gonna start retroactively punishing schools that were doing NIL the "wrong way?" Which I think was anything that wasn't actually a payment for an actual endorsement/use of name/image/likeness?

Who knows. With Dartmouth B-ball players unionizing, maybe football players will too and then bring some sanity to NIL via a salary cap.

It's a fight that's coming and not going to be a slam dunk because there's several camps that benefit from the Wild West situation we have now. The small handful of schools that can and will throw giant bags at players, star players who can command money, and all the players that want to sign at those massive bag schools won't want that.
I would also expect these camps to first fight back with the narrative that there's no salary cap for coaches so there shouldn't be for players.

Still needs to go to the national board.
Remember when Northwestern football players were allowed to unionize years ago? Look at where they are now

Lots more starters in CFB like KamFab making nothing that will vote yes for a share of the pie than millionaire QBs taking the lions share. If it happens it will need to be endorsed by the SEC and the B1G. If they do eventually want to break away from the NCAA a CBA with their workforce and rules of engagement that everyone follows is a must IMHO.

So I quoted to make a brilliant point and get this

Fuck @VanillaSupport, get your shit together or put Sven in charge.

the only teeth the NCAA has is a playoff ban. Scholarship reductions are pointless, because you can just NIL the kid without offering a scholarship.
