The viewership conversation always crack me up because they're circular arguments. The teams that networks put in the most watched time slots on the most watched channels are unsurprisingly going to draw the most viewers.
I'm not saying poverty programs like WSU could draw the same numbers if they were given the same prime-time slots, so don't twist.

Well, playing in the peach, rose, fiesta, sugar bowl and championship game certainly boosted UW’s numbers over that time span.
I don’t think uw got a ton of highly watched pac 12 after dark games during that span.
In other words UW was earning those numbers via on field success.
Somewhat selective endpoints benefiting us* since we went to the playoff in 2016. Still, since Petersen took over and we decided to care about football again we're clearly a top 15-20 program with natty upside, even with Lake sucking, Cohen leopard printing and Deboer backstabbing.

Isn’t that the point? It’s why prime was a FOX darling until he started losing and why I could’ve cancelled the pac-12 network after people started realizing these scrappy underdogs are legit.
I for one love this data as it pertains to my well being but would NEVER share with a client because the argument could then be made to “why would I buy a game if it wasn’t one of these primary people?” Simple, less eyeballs costs less money.

This fanbase's obsession with that status marks its least attractive attribute, and it is whence that USC respects us! comes.
Frankly, it's un-American at its core. Give me a hungry upstart any day.
USC told the B1G they'd only join if they were paired with UCLA and not Oregon
