I love rankings and numbers and stars because I’m gay and it gives my OCD mind something else to obsess over.
with that said, there’s a chance this class doesn’t finish in the top 25. There’s at least 7 or 8 teams with a legitimate chance of leap frogging the dawgs when they get all there guys in. We shall see… don’t shoot the messenger - it’s just maff.
This. We’re blowing our load early, which isn’t a bad thing, but this class isn’t going to finish top 20 unless we pull some top guys that aren’t on the radar right now.
My assumption is the class fills out with a few more solid three star types and 1-2 more four stars. Maybe a couple flip maybe they flip a couple and evens out right around #25, maybe a little lower or higher.
They might actually finally benefit in the TBS rankings from taking a lot of guys. I remember in the Petersen era a lot of those classes should have been rated higher but were lower because of the BS which rewarded other teams for simply taking more players. Oregon benefitted from that so it would be pretty ironic to see it be a positive for UW now.
I’ve always looked at the avg per number. Using some fuzzy math - how many current croots they have committed, and the avg rating, you can guesstimate how many teams could finish higher in the overall rankings. If we get the 1 or 2 not seen coming studs we could push towards 20. We’d also need the other 3 or 4 guys expected to commit to do just that.
I’m thinking a couple of 3* kids that are committed may get a bump to 4* with good senior years. Two or three of them are close right now. If that happens and if they get 1-2 more 4* kids to jump in the boat that would put them somewhere between 8-10 4* players and that’s usually good enough for a class between 20-25.
For the record I don't care too much about being like #18 vs. #26 and I'm an average ranking superiority guy. Those Petersen classes were I think very close to being Top 10 classes by those averages and not boosting a ranking by signing more guys.

another solid addition to the class. Has top end speed. This Orygun fan would have liked getting him.
maybe… a/s/l?

Worrying about a #17 class versus a #26 class is doog fucking stupid
thanks for your opinion. Opinions are like assholes, some are better than others.

Class rankings are gay. I think average stars is a pretty good metric that probably correlates better to program success.
so your saying he has a nice butthole?! Just wow.
Awful lot of butthole talk in this thread about teen bois.
Thanks Feces👌👌

This is where I stand. It’s just fun to talk about teen buttholes, right @EsophagealFeces ?
Why else would I be here?
I saw something on X (yes it means it could be bullshit) but Petersen's average stars weren't amazing.
The 247 guys lose money when they admit that Petersen and Harbaugh out-scouted people and why it wasn't a Bama Texas rematch.
