I'm coming around to giving Grubb another million to HC and then going and paying 2 mill for the best DC in the nation. Keep Shepard as OC

Unproven as a head coach and recruiter. Too risky for me.
UW would be able to hold on to the "best passing offense" badge with him. Keeping huff and Shep would be better than 95% of other options on that side of the ball.

Lots of money left over to hire a top 5 DC thats an actual adult

Spending 3.5 mill on Grub and 2.5 mill on a DC is still cheap for UW

The best DC in the nation isn't going to hitch their wagon to an unproven HC starting a massive rebuild.
The coaching tree roots would be incredibly shallow.

They would be hiring G5 up and comers or trying to retain KDB holdovers.

Have to think long and short term.

If you keep Mack, germie, Boston, cam, tybo, huff, etc.

You will actually win games next year.

Fielding a d 2 roster is the likely alternative.

Hiring Grubb/Shep when they haven't even publicly denounced Defraud...
    1. Jimmy Lake 2.0, no one will follow them anywhere, they have no connections, internal promotion, kinda faggy internal promo
    2. Defraud 2.0, on the off chance they do alright they will bolt for Bama, LSU, or some other school in less than 3 years
If they came out and tweeted out "fuck you, you fat girl-named fuck for betraying your friends that climbed here with you, UW/Seattle, and all these kids you made promises to, Im staying here if at all possible until the job is fucking done" I would 10000 times be more on board

but then again 10000 * .00069 is still pretty small
That’s what I said earlier. They would have to go on a Fuck Kalen tour and kiss ass to the entire community.

They would have to be very candid with boosters and AD, etc.

If DeBoer had left a good roster behind there would be an argument for Grubb and continuity. I still wouldn't want him, but that would be the only scenario where there'd be rationale for keeping him as HC.

What could go wrong when listening to a bunch of 20 year olds?
Worked out(kinda) with Cristobal at Oregon but I mostly agree.

I want Grubb out, he has too much DeBoner in him. Take Morel and anybody else that he brought, tell them to LEAVE. Go find a head coach with a network in place

If you squint they have a playable offense next year with Grubb n co

Otherwise you're hoping Fisch brings half of Zona with him or Carroll pulls a Prime move

Defense is going to be sketchy almost no matter what next year

By the time spring camp rolls around the turnover at UW will make Prime blush

This is actually true. Crisco had at least been a head coach before with some success though. I forgot Shephard was a co-OC at Purdue but hiring a WRs coach to be a head coach is a massive jump. I guess Passing Game Coordinator at UW sounds like a good title.

I don't see a big time DC signing onto any of that. DeBoer couldn't get some guy of the CFL or some shit unless he was just pretending to want that so he could slide is small time buddies in. I'm sure they could get someone decent though.

Man, imagine if DeBoer had been able to hire an actual DC.

Isn’t Germie in a different situation as he already burned his free transfer?
